Teignmouth

Teignmouth, on the south coast of Devon, was a prominemt boat building centre in the 19th Century, and, having been bombed heavily during the Second World War, underwent a regeneration process in the years after. John Keats lived in Teignmouth for a time, and his 19th Century cottage can be visited, along with those of marine artist Thomas Luny and Charles Babbage, who invented the modern computer.
