Deep in rural mid-Devon, Hayrish Farm provides an ideal location for a country holiday. It is situated on a 186 acre beef and game farm with the upper reaches of the River Taw running through it and with wonderful countryside to explore on the doorstep...
H550 - The Cabin, Rowbrook, Nr. Poundsgate. Sleeps 2 (4 B/A)
In its accommodation this is quite unlike any of the other properties in our brochure. Though clean, bright and well maintained by its owner, its facilities may reasonably be described as basic, yet its isolated position and superb outlook make it a true hideaway and for these reasons, well worth including.
Perched on a plateau at 850ft., with breathtaking views of the river below and the surrounding moors, the cabin is in a uniquely privileged location. Hidden from the main house and from public view, it is set in its own private orchard…
H551 - Rowbrook House, Nr. Poundsgate. Sleeps 8 + cot
Built in the early 1900's, as a country gentleman's residence in the Arts and Crafts Style, Rowbrook House occupies one of the most stunning positions in the West Country. The house faces South and overlooks the valley of the River Dart, 350 feet below. From the terrace there is no sign of human habitation but the surrounding hills and ancient woods contain a wealth of wildlife. There is direct access from the garden to the Moor below, and thence to the river.
This is an immensely peaceful place, yet is within five minutes' drive of Poundsgate with a good local pub and only 15 minutes away from a market town…
