Brockenhurst

One of the largest villages in the New Forest, Brockenhurst is well known for its tea rooms and quality restaurants. The area around the village is ideal for walking and horse riding; local riding centres cater for all ages and abilities. The village fete takes place here on the August Bank Holiday Monday. In the churchyard is a gravestone in memory of a well known Forest character "Brusher" Mills, who is reputed to have regularly picked up adders with his bare hands - not to be recommended!
