Hambledon

Hambledon, a village in the depths of the Hampshire countryside, is most famous for being the birthplace of cricket. A granite memorial near to the "Bat and Ball Inn" commemorates the founding of Hambledon Cricket Club, in the 18th century. The village is within easy driving distance of Portsmouth, Southampton and Winchester.
