Keyhaven

The small, coastal village of Keyhaven, in the far south of the New Forest faces the Isle of Wight, which is just a short distance across the Solent. The village has a yacht club, a windsurfing lagoon and a good local pub. There are superb walks along the coast to Lymington and out along the spit to Hurst Castle, a fortress built during the reign of Henry VIII. The surrounding salt marshes are very popular with birdwatchers.
