Lyndhurst
Lyndhurst, the New Forest's administrative centre, is also the seat of the Verderer's Court. The Court was originally created by the Normans to protect the Forest, and still meets every two months. The town itself has many shops and cafés. Its position right in the heart of the Forest means that it provides a perfect base for exploring the area.
