Romsey

Positioned on the River Test, one of England's most famous trout and salmon rivers, Romsey is a market town about five miles north of Southampton. Broadlands House, just to the south of the town, was home to Earl Mountbatten, the uncle of the Duke of Edinburgh. Montisfont Abbey (NT), to the north, is a 12th century priory that has been restored as a family home. Both are open to the public during the summer months.
