Salisbury
Salisbury, the city of New Sarum, is famous for its magnificent 13th Century cathedral which has the tallest spire in England and can justly claim to be one of England's most attractive cities. There is a wealth of attractions to visit - the Medieval Hall, Mompesson House (National Trust), the Salisbury & South Wiltshire Museum - and an excellent shopping centre and Market Square where markets are held every Tuesday and Saturday.
Salisbury also offers a cinema, theatre, indoor swimming pool and sports and leisure centre. To the north of Salisbury are Stonehenge and the vast expanse of Salisbury Plain; to the south The New Forest and the South Dorset coastline.
